Hi, I’m Ryan.

I’m a Principal Engineer at athenahealth, based in the Boston area. I work on software delivery and the platforms other engineers depend on.

I joined athenahealth in 2018. Since then, my work has taken me through asynchronous workflows, messaging, observability, distributed platform services, and CI/CD.

Much of that work comes down to understanding how a system behaves and making it easier for the next person to work with.

This is where I keep my writing, work, and independent projects.
